The KoonsFuller Family Law Foundation announced the grant winners of its charitable campaign at two 40th anniversary celebration events held in Dallas on November 2and in Houston on November 4. KoonsFuller celebrated the firm’s 40th anniversary with a charitable campaign to award $200,000 in grants to Texas non-profit charities. The Foundation received dozens of submissions, which were then evaluated by a panel of notable judges from North Texas and Houston. Ten non-profits were ultimately selected to receive grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.

The North Texas winners are:

  • Hope Supply Co. ($5,000)
  • Alliance for Children ($5,000)
  • The Family Place ($10,000)
  • Promise House ($10,000)
  • Resource Center ($10,000)
  • Family Compass ($50,000)

The Houston winners are:

  • Casa de Esperanza de los Niños ($10,000)
  • ChildBuilders ($10,000)
  • Bo’s Place ($20,000)
  • Small Steps Nurturing Center ($50,000)

KoonsFuller Family Foundation also honored all 2018 grant applicants with a $1,000 donation, including Campfire First Texas, Catch Up & Read, Dallas Spark, Dallas Theater Center, Easterseals North TX, Elijah Rising, Family Gateway, Ft. Worth Public Library, Grant Halliburton Foundation, Immunization Partnership, JDRF Greater Dallas, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Lone Star Legal Aid, Methodist Health System Foundation, Our Calling and Trinity Basin Preparatory.

“Every single one of the applicants we received does such necessary work in the North Texas or Houston communities, and every single one deserves our admiration and support. Our judges had to make some very difficult decisions to select the ten winners,” said Ike Vanden Eykel, CEO and Managing Shareholder from the firm’s Dallas office. “I’m confident that each of these organizations will put these grants to fantastic use.”
