The Dallas Foundation is giving a financial boost to support more than two dozen impact-focused organizations.

The community foundation—the first in Texas—announced awarding 27 Texas organizations and initiatives focused on “driving meaningful results for children and families” with more than $1.4 million in funding through its 2022 Community Impact Fund Grants.

The Dallas Foundation said the $1.4 million represents just a portion of the more than $56 million awarded so far this year in partnership with the foundation’s more than 400 fundholders.

“Each of these Community Impact Grants demonstrates an investment in some of our community’s most critical needs,” Matthew Randazzo, president and CEO of The Dallas Foundation, said in a statement.

The Community Impact Fund supports a variety of causes aimed at the “betterment of Greater Dallas,” with grant awards aligning the foundation’s strategic priorities and community impact framework. This year, The Dallas Foundation said the awards are centered around things like ensuring a strong and healthy start in life, community and economic resilience, advancing equity and inclusion, and enhancing the nonprofit ecosystem.

Recipients of the grants were selected following a review and approval process by a committee of the foundation’s board.

Randazzo said this year’s recipients share an ultimate goal of providing “children and families with a brighter and more equitable community to live in.”

Here are this year’s Community Impact Fund Grant recipients, categorized based on the strategic priority they meet:
