Each grant recipient receives a $5000 donation from the FC Dallas Foundation.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Vernon is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as responsible, caring and productive citizens. Established in 1997, the Boys & Girls Club of Vernon is the largest agency under the United Fund in Wilbarger County with 1,469 members and is the only organization to provide an organized soccer program in their rural North Texas Community.

Dedicated to the education and well-being of low-income children in our community, Community Storehouse positively changes educational outcomes for children in crisis. Established in 1982 to address hunger prevention in Keller ISD, Community Storehouse has expanded their services to include educational development and leadership and character-building programs. Their service area and impact has also increased from 51 square miles and 200 children in 2000 to over 300 square miles and over 5,000 children in 2020.

Established in 2000, Heart House provides safety, education, and opportunity to refugee and underprivileged children (through intervention and support services) to move students from a mindset of chaos to calm. They focus on tailoring their after school and summer programs to promote mental and behavioral health in a critical time in these children’s lives. Along with the social aspect Heart House offers these children homework assistance, mentoring, counseling, and a safe space from negative influences in their community.

Nestled in the heart of West Dallas is Wesley-Rankin Community Center, a 117-year-old organization that provides education and resources to drive community transformation. The multi-generational approach focuses on providing opportunities for learning, socialization and personal growth among children, youth, adults, and senior citizens. Wesley-Rankin Community Center provides children and youth within their community a place to go after the school day where programs are provided with an emphasis on math and reading enrichment, as well as social-emotional skills and character development.

The 2020 recipient of the Homegrown Helper Gift pres. by CornerStone Staffing, a $5,000 donation to an organization that has been voted on by FC Dallas homegrown players, is Family Gateway. Family Gateway focuses on providing stability and life-changing supportive services to children and families affected by homelessness.
